I had my first repeat offender today!  The beautiful Dre Hernandez and I collaborated on a guitar theme at the beach this morning.  Here’s one of our natural light results.

I gotta share one more of the U.S.S. Iowa BB-61. The Iowa will be departing this Sunday from Richmond, and will be due under the Golden Gate at about 3PM. Surprisingly, the turnout to see the Iowa in Richmond was tremendous. San Francisco really missed out on a five star attraction, but the old girl will be well cared for in San Pedro.

Kodak’s nuclear reactor

Yes, Kodak had a secret nuclear reactor for experiments.  I always thought the halos on Kodak film were a bit suspicious.  ;)

Meet Michael C. Wunderlich. Mr. Wunderlich is a WWII Navy veteran who served as a signalman from 1943 to the duration of the Pacific war. I met him on board the U.S.S. Iowa this morning, while paying my final respects to the battleship before the move south. Mr. Wunderlich saw Eleanor Roosevelt in person. But only after standing 3 hours in the sun waiting for a Navy review by the President’s wife. You just never know who you’ll meet on a battleship!
